Volunteer work during February

On Sunday 14th February, a small volunteer group started working at the rear of the pond by clearing back the fallen willow trees.

Our next full volunteer session takes place on the weekend of the 27th and 28th February, where it is hoped we can continue this work and divert an existing drainage ditch into the far end of the pond. We intend to reinstate the small island, to protect the bird life using it, and allow a new flow of water at this end of the pond to keep it clearer.
