Motorcycle Trespass

We have been working very hard to improve the sites and restrict motorcycle access to them.

We have installed new gates at the Holly Hayes Road and Hilary Crescent entrances and erected new signs at the major junctions within the woodland. We also have plans to install more gates and are working through the options with the highways department at County Hall.

However, we still have a few persistent offenders. We are tracking instances of motorcycle trespass and collecting evidence relating to their unwelcome visits.

We have talked to Leicestershire Constabulary about an approach and they will help us tackle the offenders when we present enough evidence.

You can help by reporting instances of motorcycle trespass to us, so we can build up a diary of events ... use this blog and add comments please or send us an email.

If you are fortunate enough to be able to capture the registration number of the motorbike, or are able to take a photo of the offenders in question, please let us know and send us any evidence you have.

In the mean time, the police have suggested they will pursue criminal charges against individuals perpetrating this trespass, if we can provide enough evidence. They ask that we do not approach the individuals in a threatening manner, or antagonise them. just a polite "you are not welcome" and "have you seen the signs" before asking them to leave.
