A recent visit by Simon Willis the Managing Director of Midland Quarry Products proved very promising.
It is hoped that MQP will donate the group suitable aggregate which allow restoration work on the public footpath (The Ivanhoe Way) to commence.
Further dialogue is planned and it is hoped that further aggregate and large stones will be donated to allow some of the permissive footpaths to undergo maintenance and new seating being provided by the introduction of suitable stones.
The feedback received from Simon on our activities to date was very encouraging and it is hoped that this will cement a longer-term relationship between the two organisations which should prove mutually beneficial.
